The Miracle of Water: The Yin & the Yang By Alick Bartholomew

john_william_waterhouse_painting-wallpaper-1280x720 Here is a great, very thorough article about water and its meaning from different perspectives and times.

“We all have the experience of rejuvenation and joy on a vibrant spring day when the sap is rising in the plants and the tree buds are bursting with new life. Water is at the very heart of life creation. Sitting by a waterfall or on the rocks at the edge of the ocean on a sunny day, one can feel the energy of the water in our body. Water is closely linked to the emotions. There is a strong resonance of water with humans. Our ancestors were fascinated by its magic and there is a vast mythology linked to water.”

The Scent of Basil

The Scent of Basil

Life is a new silken nightgown
and well worn woolen socks,

the scent of fresh basil
in the middle of the winter,

the everyday me and the goddess me
both equally precious

To My Readers

Hello Dear Readers, Friends,

I have been sharing much content written by other people in this blog (excerpts with links mostly). I have a marketing kind of mind, so I have thought that the sharings at the same time serve as little marketing inputs for these sites and their important themes. I have been very careful with the names and the links, but I don´t know the copyright issue well. So, even though no one has complained, I have changed several posts to being private, that is invisible to the readers at least for so far.  If anyone sees anything that is not according to copyrights, there is this contact page you can use to tell me and I´ll remove the post with no grimacing.

This is also another good chance to thank every follower and reader of my blog. This is a practicing blog to me, my very first one, so I haven´t been marketing it largely. And I have had no clear plan with it other than just to flow with it (and that is how I gladly choose to do the things whenever possible!). It has been a delightful surprise that there is a community here. The spring flowers below are for you all.

Much love,

Deelia

This is a modest photo, but it is of the very first spring flowers I saw a couple of weeks ago.

Flow, Flow, Flow Your Boat: Quotes

river-scenic-spotFlow is being completely involved in an activity for its own sake. The ego falls away. Time flies. Every action, movement, and thought follows inevitably from the previous one, like playing jazz. – Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi

Flow is the natural, effortless unfolding of our life in a way that moves us toward wholeness and harmony.
– Meg Lundstrom

May what I do flow from me like a river, no forcing and no holding back, the way it is with children. – Rainer Maria Rilke

Faith does not need to push the river because faith is able to trust that there is a river. The river is flowing. We are in it. – Richard Rohr

Thoughts create a new heaven, a new firmament, a new source of energy, from which new arts flow. – Paracelsus

Genius is Omniscience flowing into man. – Wallace D. Wattles river-1366995049HzX

My research has shown me that when emotions are expressed–which is to say that the biochemicals that are the substrate of emotion are flowing freely–all systems are united and made whole. When emotions are repressed, denied, not allowed to be whatever they may be, our network pathways get blocked, stopping the flow of the vital feel-good, unifying chemicals that run both our biology and our behavior. – Dr. Candace

By banishing doubt and trusting your intuitive feelings, you clear a space for the power of intention to flow through. – Wayne Dyer

To know oneself is the first step toward making flow a part of one’s entire life.  – Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water my friend. – Bruce Lee

Life´s irony is that as soon as worldly goods and worldly success are of no concern to you, the way is open for them to flow to you. – Neal Donald Walsch

Keep love in your heart. A life without it is like a sunless garden when the flowers are dead. The consciousness of loving and being loved brings a warmth and richness to life that nothing else can bring. – Oscar Wilde

Where attention goes, energy flows. – T. Harv Eker

Of all the virtues we can learn no trait is more useful, more essential for survival, and more likely to improve the quality of life than the ability to transform adversity into an enjoyable challenge. – Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi

Your flow is as tangible and real as any locomotive, and just as powerful. – Robert Genn

A big part of my creative process, as well as life itself, has been learning to let go. Trusting in the creative flow, I have gradually learned to paint from the inside out. – Leslie Tejada

Emotions can block the clear sensing of energy. When you are highly emotional about an issue, it is much more difficult to see your higher path. Before asking the Universe for answers, be sure to find a peaceful, quiet space within yourself for the answers to flow into. – Personal Power Through Awareness / Sanaya Roman

How do you know if you are exerting your own will against the Higher Will? If you are trying to create something and you must struggle, push, and work hard to force things to happen with little result, you are not following the Higher Will. Look for where the energy is flowing, and where the doors are opening, and put your time and energy there. – Spiritual Growth / Sanaya Roman

I felt I was truly in the present moment. We tango dancers strive for this above all else, a zen-like state in which you feel as though the tango is animating your body, that you are effortlessly there with no past and no future. When you are only in the now, you are as purely yourself as you can be. – Sharna Fabiano

Lucid Dreaming

ID-100117295I had a lovely lucid dream last night. At the same time I was both observing a photo and being in the photo, which was being adjusted several times like for it to be clearer and clearer adjustment by adjustment. In other words the content of the photo was being iterated. At the same time I felt in my body how the energies were becoming fully centered, adjusted and balanced. (Our energies can be more or less scattered at times, or even many times during the day, when we can stop and adjust them again.) I woke up smiling and feeling at peace.

I then also saw a clear visual with a text “attraction” (referring to the laws of attraction). Leaving the details, but there was a woman and a man walking hand in hand and being in balance with themselves and with each others. It was symbolically about feminine-masculine / yin-yang balance (action – rest, giving – receiving, strength- sensitivity, and so on).

“Lucid dreaming means dreaming while knowing that you are dreaming. Everyone has, in theory, the capacity to learn to dream lucidly, because everyone dreams every night. Whenever we dream, we find ourselves in complete worlds, as richly detailed, moving and impressive as the world of waking life. This ability to create worlds is the natural endowment of the human mind. In dreams, this wondrous talent is fully demonstrated. The worlds we create in our minds are so convincingly real we cannot easily tell them from the “real” world of waking.” -  Stephen LaBerge, Ph.D From the article: Lucidity Research, Past And Future by Stephen LaBerge, Ph.D

A Link – Pagan Pride: owning labels, systems and practices

This is a great topic. The same words can have many nuances and mean very different things to different people. The usual way of reblogging did not work, so here is a link to the post: Pagan Pride: owning labels, systems and practices at The Spinning of the Wheel

I, too, where I can, use only words that resonate with me and have no labels (or have the least labels) to me individually.  For instance, spirituality is an easier word to me in English, whereas in my native language I experience it being very heavily loaded and judgmental. There I also experience it being more related to being religious, which is another difficult word to me.  Several years ago I remember some countrymen, who had decided that I am now more spiritual because of my hobbies and work, were almost apologizing me for things that are doomed (by their experience) by traditional religion. It is (understandably) as if becoming more spiritual is about becoming more narrow minded and judgmental and outer driven. To me it is quite the contrary.

Some words have also become easier by the time to myself. Like the word “ego”. In my mind it has been very judgmental, with no seeing the both sides of the coin and lacking understanding, which is the link to both sides and beyond. (Still, I prefer to use other words. But if I read it in someone´s text, it has become lighter and more objective.)

I love words, and I love “pure” energies and energy work/transmitting even more. No words, no dualism, no labeling, no misunderstandings.
